Lenten Eucharistic Vigil 2012: sign up for an hour by Wednesday, 28 March (but ASAP, really)

Dear all, I am happy to announce the Fourth Annual Lenten Eucharistic Vigil at Holy Name Church from the evening of Friday, 30 March until the morning of Saturday, 31 March in Anno Domini 2012.

You are welcome to drop in at any time of the night to pray before the Blessed Sacrament without prior commitment, and we encourage you to come to any of the following events (note that all prayers of the Divine Office will be sung according to the Liturgy of the Hours):

5:30 PM Mass
6:00 PM Stations of the Cross followed by Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament (SPO fish fry will start in the undercroft after Stations)
7:00 PM Vespers (Evening Prayer)
9:00 PM Compline (Night Prayer)
10:00 PM Rosary
2:00 AM Matins (Office of Readings)
3:00 AM Chaplet of the Divine Mercy
7:00 AM Lauds (Morning Prayer) followed by 15 decades of rosary
8:15 AM Benediction
8:30 AM Mass
Following Mass, all are invited to join in Brunch in the under-croft of Holy Name (Tentative)

Coffee and snacks will be available during the night. If you live far away and would like a place to rest, please email us.

We need at least 2 people to commit to each hour from 7 PM until 8 AM. Please email twherge@gmail.com with the subject "vigil" to sign up for an hour. Especially hard to fill are the hours from 3 AM until 6 AM.

We also need volunteers to help with the singing of the prayers from the Liturgy of the Hours. The music is simple, but there will need to be a practice. If you are interested in volunteering or have any questions, please send us an email
.
